Good price?

A local body shop has a wrecked E-series van, 00 or 01 it starts up and has 170K miles on the clock. He's asking $1800, i don't need it but it seems really cheap. I could probably pick it up for 1500ish. He fired it up for me, it sounded good.

What do you think? Could i turn a profit on it or turn it into an off road work horse (i own a farm)?

How wrecked is it? I'm assuming it's a diesel with 170,xxx.

If its got the 7.3 in her, I would say that is one heck of a deal. If the van is toast, the engine alone is worth more than 1500 bucks.

Sorry, i took for granted that everyone would take it to be a 7.3 -- it is.
I kinda want to shorten the frame throw a roll cage and small bed and just use it in the farm like a atv
