u joint recommendation

Can anyone recommend a long lasting ujoint brand and part number for rear driveshaft diff ujoint? 02 SC 4X4 7.3 shortbox. Thanks...

I would go with a Spicer or a Precison brand of joint. Sorry I do not have any part numbers. Greasable if you are good at keeping up with that.

Thanks Rick2001, I've had Neapco and they don't seem to last, I can't seem to find Spicer's anywhere but I do know that NAPA sells the Precision which I think are owned by Federal Mogul. I guess I'll try those...

btw I use both brands on my jeeps that I off road all the time.... they both seem to hold up well....and are quality items

Just for information, I went by NAPA yesterday to pick up a ujoint that they had told me was made by "Precision". When he placed the joint on the counter it said made in Japan. When I questioned him about it he said that they used to carry Precision but the corporate offices changed to a cheaper vendor. I went to another parts store and got one made in the USA. I don't know about anyone else but this is kind of disheartening, I've always gone to NAPA in the past when I wanted a "quality" part. Now it seems like you're going to have to watch them real close too.
