Problems with the "water in fuel light". I had just drained the HFCM and decided to go ahead and replace the fuel filters with no luck in the light going off. Therefore I/we all decided dealership would be best. So I tuned it back to stock and disconnected batteries for 15 minutes. I assume it reset the codes and the light went off so off to the dealership I go Thursday(well my wife). It took almost 6 hours for them to get the truck ready by replacing the Fuel Delivery Module. It fixed the problem of the light coming on but when she took it in for me it was on almost a half tank of fuel. Well when I got it back it was less than a 1/4 tank she only went the 15 mile round trip and back.
I had this service done 2 weeks ago and have actually seen a mile or so increase in fuel mileage. By replacing the fuel delivery module would that have the positive effects on the fuel mileage or was I just less lead footed? I am still trying to learn what all these diesel parts play in the mechanics of the engine.
