Anyone have an issue where the radio display dims and brightens with the turn signal on? It only does it when the headlights are on (radio display dimmed). Either signal and hazard flashers will make the radio blink sometimes, very faintly, and hardly noticable unless you just happen to catch it.
Wierd...but not wierd enough to let the dealer try to fix it ...
My radio would blink when the lights were on. I adjusted the dimmer **** for the dash lights and it stopped. Apparently it didn't like the setting I had it on so a little adjustment did the trick. The dash lights never did blink. I found this fix by accident. I thought my radio was going bye bye.
Well, to be honest, thinking the radio was "on the blink" (pardon the pun) would not be too far out of line.
Ford factory radios have never been known to be stellar from a quality perspective.
The most common complaints have been the display going out to lunch, CDs not being able to be ejected, speakers cutting out on the left driver's door etc..
Glad your problem is not bigger than what you found.....
which is why im not considering having it fixed...because they probably wont look for a bad ground. They will replace the unit with a 'working' one....and we know what that might mean.
