My front brake caliper on the driver side keep getting lock on my 2000 ford f150 xlt, anybody have any ideas how to handle this since it's the only one that keept doing it; even after I changed both calipers and bleed them well. Any help
wil be greatly appreciated
They tend to degrade internally (swelling)and develop into an effective check valve.
The pressure from the master cylinder can force the fluid through to activate the caliper but the fluid cannot flow backwards towards the master cylinder to reduce caliper pressure when the pedal is released.
Also, check the hard lines that run out of the master cylinder. If one of them is near the exhaust manifold, the heat will cook the brake fluid inside the line and slowly block the line internally. This has happened to me on a car that I had headers on and it took me forever and a day to find it.
