I rarely drive this truck but it seems to have some kind of Oil pressure problem.
Went on the freeway for about 30 miles yestereday and when I was driving I was hearing kind of like low end knocking noise, I was driving at 60 to 75 mph. Noise got louder at some point but I didn't care too much about it. When I got off the freeway, truck died at the stop sign and didn't start. crank over but kind of weak. waited for about 40 mins and it cranked kind of weak but started again. it had mild lowend knocking at idle, I drove it to 7-11 parking lot and left it running for a few mins, knocking got quietter and eventually went away. I have a working oil pressure gauge and also have secondary electrical oil pressure gauge installed on this truck but pressure reading is always normal, never too high or too low, it does fractuate in lower part of the gauge.
I drove it back but kept it at 60 mph, and 2100 rpm or so. I heard mild knocking sound but this time engine didn't die after I exited from freeway and made a complete stop. Is there any fix for such oil lublication problem? Thanks in advance,

If it is reading normal then the noise you are hearing may not be related to the oil, many other things like EGR bypass & diverter valves also make a rythemic low frequency noise at times.
Or if the noise is coming from deep in the guts it could be that the motor has suffered a failure of some sort but still not directly the result of the OIL.
You might change the oil, start with a clean drain pan and look closely look at the oil for metal or other stuff, cut open your oil filter and see if there is any evidence in there as well. This will likely tell you whats going on and if it is really a bearing or other serious problem.
The battery is good. cranks real strong when it doesn't have engine problem. I'm pretty sure it has engine knock. just don't know what's causing it. Thanks,
When it comes right down to it, it dosen't matter what it is, you just have to take it apart and fix it or replace it. Prior to getting to that all you can do is baby it regardless of what the problem is.
I hate knowing that it has to come apart, just one more job to do that you really did'nt plan on...
It doesn't knock at all when it's driven at lower mph/speed. it's okay for local driving. only when I go on freeway and such. maybe some oil passage is clogged or beling very close to being clogged? would need complete overhaul sounds like. might as well get another engine. I had too many f series mostly 87 to 94 and half of these had oil pressure problems. it's usually clogged oil pickup tube, in many cases loses pressure completely. but I've seen many 302 with clogged chambers in heads. I think I'm gonna have to try some serious flushing sometime.
You might try a half can of seafoam in the crankcase to try and break up any gunk that's blocking oil passages. Other than that, it sounds like you may have spun a bearing in the low-end. If that's the case, keep driving it until it dies and don't go too far from home.
