No Gears,But Reverse
Alright heres the deal.my brother had a 79 f150 4x4.it has a 400m.and a c6 tranny.and sits on 38.5s.and now its mine. this thing was a monster until he broke the rear end.so while we were replacing the rear end.he decided to change out the tranny fluid.he used type f.but the dip stick translated means it needed dexIII.so he changed the fluid with type f.and did a filter change also.but right after the fluid/filter change the tranny started acting up.so he changed the fluid to dexIII.but it was still acting up.and now all it has is reverse. it pulls strong in reverse.but it will not enaged into any othere gear.now ive been told that if you use type f in a dexIII trans it will only cause it to shift harder.so if this is true what could my problem be?any help is truely appreciated.thanks
