ANOTHER Tanker Explosion!
Today a tanker hauling 8,000 gallons of gasoline eploded on the Bronx Queens Expressway. Amazingly no body was killed. Last summer two (2) tankers crashed here on the island. One exploded on Sunrise Highway, just a mile from my house, which killed a few people. Another one turned over on an entrance ramp to the Long Island Expressway. I also remember a few years ago, a tanker crashed into an over pass. I think it was on the Thruway.
Why is this happening so often? Is it just New York?

No, it happens everywhere-New York draws a lot of media attention. I responded to a fatal crash of a gasoline tanker and a tanker full of molten sulfur last year. It seems to me that a lot of the crashes occur due to the trucks being driven too fast around a sharp corner (rollover) or the running of red lights.

We had one down here today in Philly. Driving up or down 95 is hard enough as it is, and that's without a rush hour. This just made it ridiculous around here.
