This morning I turned on my heater (defroster) and for some reason, no matter where I turn the ****, I cant get it to go to the floor heater or dashboard. It's stuck on the defroster?? It turns off, but thats about the only option that works. Any ideas? Is there a motor or switch that needs replacing?
There are actuators that move the doors that direct the airflow located under the dash behind the ashtray. These are run be vacuum lines...if one got d/c or broke that would cause the problem...that's where i would look first

Is this for your 2000 F-350? If so then I will move this post to the Super Duty...but I need to know.
So I was searching some other posts, and noticed there was a connection between the 4x4 hub and the air. My seal on on of my hubs is bad. Would this be the problem? When I replace the hub with manual hubs, what is the best way to plug the vacuum?
I am having the exact same problem but all the vacum lines are ok I have checked and rechecked the lines and everything seems to be fine. I have checked fuses and they are all ok.I think it happened when I used the ESOF switch for a moment yesterday to get up a steep gravel incline? then turned it off,but when I got home I switched again to 4x4 and 4x4 low with the switch and the hubs engaged? I am suspecting my dash switch went south? what would others opinions be?
