Hey Caroll. Thanks for showing interest. At this point, posting in this thread is the only participation neccessary. Once we've been granted an actual chapter we'll have a place to begin discussing what we can make of it.

At least I think that's how it's supposed to work.

Sorry guys, I was going to look for more possible members this weekend, but I ended up sick and in bed.

I have a very long week this week, but I will try to look for more at night when I get home (shhh-on computer at work-LOL).

Did anyone actually contact the first ones I found?

Correct link: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...29#post3337429

In order to start a Chapter you must have minimum of 5 FTE members willing to join. Each member must be an active FTE user for at least 30 days. The member organizing the Chapter must be an FTE user for at least 60 days.
From this thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=296418

How many do we have now? Who is the organizing member? Jimkidd?

to search for more members, go into your search function, choose advanced search, then you can selecet what state, how many posts that kind of thing, and you can email or pm them that way. I think you will find there are many FTE users from Arkansas, but many do not have much for posts. You can kind of choose to only email those with a number of posts for the reaon that posting shows interest in being involved. Otherwise, you'll be emailing for the next week...

4 pages of member with over 20 posts. Look at the date last posted or visited on the members. That can help you gauge interest as well.I was a little off on my instructions, go to the member's list, then do a search.

Now you tell me. I have been doing it the hard way...reading threads that contain the word "Arkansas". Little did I know just how easy it is.

So...whos going to type up a PM and copy/paste it to each one? Who is in charge in other words?

You tell me how to find the Arkansas poeple. I'll get the word to them.

BTW. How about getting together for a face-to-face? We've gotta get "the powers that be" to get on the ball and "bless" us as being a chapter!

I think this will link you to 4 pages of AR members.

NM that didn't work.

Go to member list----search---advanced search

Type in AR for the state---20 (or any number) for post count greater than----join date after (30 days at least)--whatever date you use for last post date.

The search now button.

__________________________________________________ ____________________________________________

First thing is get more possible members, get a state group orgainzed, then see what everyone wants to do and possible locations. Perhaps start a frapper map of AR members once we have our own area?

From the locations I am seeing, I bet it all goes down in the central part of the state anyway (3-3.5 hours from here).

The first might be a bar-b-que or other cookout and just a sort-of car show or cruise. If its still relatively cold, even a meet at a restaurant would work well. We need to meet each other and talk as much as anything else. A dyno is not the best place for a first meeting with all the noise (IMHO).

I think a dyno day something that would have to be decided after the chapter is established.

Yes. Talk and eat! There's some good places between here and there to eat.

I am just reading and may not completely understand, but it looks like each chapter can have its own site hosted on here as well (50 meg). They apparently want somone in the chapter to do the site. I am not an expert, but I have built quite a few sites.

I took classes in HTML, Frontpage, and paint shop pro. Frontpage is clunky, so I have started learning another WYSIWYG software.

Look at http://mountainhometech.com for the latest one (frontpage).

I threw together to realy quick ones for the truck, but it needs serious work.

http://home.centurytel.net/brian_b/56/index2.htm

Just offering to help if I can. Oh...I have a digi cam as well (not an real fancy one).

Thanks for the help. If we need it. I'm running a few sites myself. But I can always use some help!

While I'm at it I'm gonna go ahead and throw my hat in the ring. I'm am officially asking to be your chapter leader.
