Question Seafoam?

FTE...SEAFOAM....Does this stuff work or not? I've actually heard more good things about it than not...Though some of you may be following my Transmission issues, I'm also tackling the gas mileage problem..1994 F150 5.0...Motor has been rebuilt, 500 miles ago..It seems real tight still, No Check Engine light, idles good, I run 1500 rpm at 60 MPH...So why is my mileage in the gutter at 10-11 MPG..Believe me, I flat out baby this joker every where I go...I've checked some of the things FTE has mentioned, such as blocked CAT, no...Bad pre O2 sensor, no...Fuel pressure, right around 40-42 lbs....FPR, no fuel leaking from vacuum, it's brand new...The only thing, is the plugs..They are Autolite...Are these things that bad I should change them?
I didn't do the rebuild, so I'm unsure about the condition of the intake maniford and the carbon build up...A unrelated mech thought that SEAFOAM may work...

BTW, Before the rebuild, I'm not sure of the mileage..The truck ran so bad...oh well...I've seen this type of thread a hundred times on here so I understand if you all are tired of reading the post of bad gas mileage...
Just never seen one one with my conditions...Take care FTE, glad to be here!

Check the CTS, and the O2 sensor. Check for vacuum leaks. Are there any codes?

Recheck the FP, a running 5.o should be about 32, not 42. If its still high check the vacuum to it.

Jack up the truck and check for brake binding up a wheel.

Also, Autolite makes Motorcraft plugs, don't they? Same plug, just a different name inked on 'em.

Not sure about codes..My "Check Engine" light isn't on...I know it works, I disconnected a vacum line to check, and sure enough it came on....by the way, where can I get a code reader for my year truck?

thanks FTE!

What are your thoughts...Just standard Motorcraft plugs?...They make 5 or 6 kinds...Plat, non-plat..multi-tipped...etc?

CTS is Coolant Temperature Sensor.
You have two, the single wire one is for the gauge. The double wire one is used by the EEC.
