Possible Plug Purchase Screw-Up....Help

Well, I was just told by the manager in the parts department at a Ford dealer that the plugs I just bought were the double platinums, but it appears that I may have the Platinum fine wire plugs. The part number is AGSF32FMF4, and the Motorcraft site says that the suffixes at the end of the part number say which Platinum it is. Does anyone have these plugs, and/or know the part number for the double platinum that I'm supposed to have?

Part Number

For anyone who has purchased the Motorcraft DP's lately, what is the part number? I've read that there is a discontinued DP plug, so I'm a bit confused.

Thats the plugs I have in my 2000 5.4L motor, they have more threads on them than the ones originally put into the truck from the factory. Good Luck!

Engine

I should have been more specific about the engine I have, which is the 4.6. I looked up the above listed part number on Motorcraft, and saw that those are for the 5.4.

Two things.
Ford is constantly superceding part#'s for different reasons. The discontinued plug you read about, was probably replaced by a new/different #.
Also, I would let the Dealer guy look them up. I know you're looking them up correctly on the site, but who's to say there's not a goof up on the site. Dealer parts departments are updated monthly with new catalogs. And if there's a mis-print on their catalog, Ford sends a corrected supplement catalog immediately. BTW, when I say catalog, I mean CD-ROM. When I was doing it, it was micro-fiche. YUK!

You got the correct plugs. Go ahead and use them.
