Driving Lights

Can anyone lead me to a thread on how to make it so I can run the driving lights without having the headlights on too? I see alot of rigs doing this and I'd like to also.

I used the factory kit to install fogs on my '05 XLT, and they come on with the parking lights. The next "notch" turns on the headlights.

I did make it work on my 2001. I'll have to pull the switch out to see which wires I used. Basically I powered the fog/driving light relay to have power whenever the parking lights are on. Stock it only has power when the low beams are on. Now mine work with the parking lights, low and high beam headlights. Pretty simple to do. Just remember that if I list switch connector numbers and wire colors, they are from my 2001 and may be different from what you have. I probably won't be able to get to this until tomorrow.

Rcmoneypit refreshed my memory...I think it is the brown wire on the headlight switch plug to tap. IF memoery serves me (and a test light would confirm) the brown wire is the park lights.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to wait and see how RACERX775 comes out after installing the 05 head light switch. If that doesn't work, then I'll have a project to do on the weekend with that brown wire.

Again, thanks for the input.
