I purchased a dual chain set. I wonder about the quality as the chain is shaped with a 8 look to it rather than oblong. Anywho..I will be doing the set soon and wondered if there is any advice, precautions some of you might want to toss out there. Last set I did was in 88 on a F100 360 and I think i only did the chain on it. Anything special or quirky on the FE work ??
Look on one of the links of the chain for the country of origin. China, Mexico, Taiwain are a few who make them. Cloyes chains are now made overseas as many others. Rollmaster is the best you can get with the chain made in Germany. Is it a double roller chain set? What brand did you buy?
Melling on the box with a sticker on the outside that says "made in India" I aint going to race the thing just drive it...so I reckon it wont really matter
Made in INDIA??? I'd send it back. No kidding, my dad was working for John Deere's a while back. They got some parts made in India. BAD STUFF.
I think the Rollermaster would be the way to go. I have the Cloyes street true roller in my 390. I had the fuel pump cover off a while back (I'm running an electric fuel pump) and the chain was already getting a little loose.
