bulk filters

Does anyone know where you can buy Fram filters buy bulk? I usually just go to wally world when I need to restock the shelf. Didn't know if buying a case at a time would be cheaper or not?
Thanks!

The truth about Fram is that they filter fine but the surface area isn't there for strong flow. They actually flow more then an AC Delco UPF and about the same as a PureOne but only offer average protection. For good flow and average protection there are better ones out there but the Fram shoudn't hurt anything. Now the Fram Tough Gaurd on the other hand is actually better then many including the Mobile1 filter for filtration. It's still a little low on flow but better then the orange cans.

FYI the "atomic orange death" has a better micron filter then the WIX according to the study on oilfilterstudy.com

Yeah, to each his own I guess. I've been running them for as long as I can remeber, on many different vehicles. Lots of miles...lots of abuse, never had a engine fail due to a bad filter. Streched timing chain, burnt pistion, but never an oil flow problem. Maybe I'm just lucky. Never really liked wix, or ac oil fliters, just preference I guess. Besides the orange death has sure grip

this thread reminds me of a Jeff Foxworthy line..... you may be a redneck if you stockpile motor oil. you could change that to oil filters and it would still fit. LOl

I'd lean towards Wally world, how many would you want on your shelf?

Thats for sure! Got 2 busses, usually got anywhere from 5-10 extra gal of Rotella, atleast one set of CAT fuel, fuel-water, and oil filters on the shelf. Wally world likes to see me, nothing like buying a cart full of oil. LOL
As far has how many, well so far for the heating business we have 8 astro/safari awd vans. All of which take a PH 3980. So it wouldn't really bother me to buy them 12 at a time. Been keeping and extra air filter, brake pads, shoes on stock. Just makes it easier than an extra trip to town or trying to remeber.

I've been looking to buy cases of Motorcraft FL-1A filters - at one point I had three vehicles using those filters. Now I have just one but don't mind having a box of filters...

That and Scott's shop towels - I use those like they're candy.

Golly, sorta off key here, but,,,

you may be a redneck if you stockpile toilet paper, I'M A REDNECK, I'm on my last roll after Sept 2002! Stock pile finally gave out of the ole Charmin! No worry, got a couple pack's till I hit the Sam's

Now to relate to filters, Remember the conversion to toilet paper oil filters? Never tried that one.

If you stock up on oil filters, remember to keep dry! They will rust on you!
