I got a DeeZee Tough Guy cab organizer for X-mas. The thing is, this hard plastic thing that sits behind the seat is supposed to be held in with 2 little pieces of double sided foam tape. Does this really hold? Also, the floor of the can has a shelf that is only 1/2 as wide as the organizer is, so when I load it without the tape on it it tips forward. Anybody put one of these in a 95 F150 single cab? Any ideas?
Anybody? I am thinking about the only way is to rip down a 2x4 to fit the height and cut it to length and screw the board to the underside of the organizer?
OK so I went ahead with that part, but now how can I firmly afix this to the cab? I was thinking of screwing it to the cab floor near the backwall. Anybody see any problems with this?
i have had one in my 88 since it was 2 days old. since i never intented to, and never will sell the truck, i drilled through the top of the organizer and screwed it to the back of the cab with 3 large self tapper screws. may 11 will be 18 years it has been there, and it has always been full. never had a lick of trouble from it except being so full that i cant get anything more in it every now and then.
So you had no trouble with the cold making it brittle? I was planning on screwing down through the bottom into the floor with 3 or 4 self tappers with some fender washers to spread the load.
Did you put anything on the back of the organizer to keep it from rubbing the plastic trim? I was thinking maybe some sticky back felt strips used for furniture on hardwood floors.
