Hood Latch and grille modification ??
Has anyone modified the hood latch to a cable realease or some other method. I would like to eliminate the "rib" that veritcally blocks the grille from the hood latch. My truck is a 75 with AC and I want to add atranny cooler in the middle where the air flow is. I want the biggest cooler I can get because I tow in the mountains. Would converting to a 78 grill with the aftermarket tubular center give even more clearance? Would love a slim fan up front.

Think if it this way, the oil cooler and the condenser are heating the air that goes threw them, raising the cooling air temp to the radiator.
