Talking Turlock Swapmeet

Ok Gentlemen.

I will be in Turlock Saturday the 28th for the swap meet. I like to get there early and if anyone would like to meet for breakfast let me know.
The gates open at 7:am That might be a bit early for most of you. I live close and I am an early riser. I was gonna have breakfast around 6:am at Perkos just off of Westmain street.
If you guys want to meet somewhere after the meet for a burger or anything let me know. I'm close enogh if anyone wants to meet Sunday I can do that to. I recently had hernia surgery and can't do any heavy work so all I can do is visit.

I will and try to wear my FTE Tshirt and a 65Ford hat so if you run into me say howdy.

See ya there..

jd

JD, Way up in the air for me. In fact it's in the stratosphere with the weather the way it's going. Long drive over Carson Pass in the snow ya know. I think I will have to bow out on this one. Come on you guys, most of you live over there don't ya. I hope at least a good showing of the NOCAL members can make it. This would be a great start!

Ya know tim this sucks. While the weather in the valleys has not been to bad(exept the last few days, stupid snow)the weather on the big hill has been horible.

I think that we need our own swapmeet on this side of the hill so we can "swap" swapmeet stories here on FTE.
I dont evan know if there is evan one around here.

I got it.We can have pick and pull and pick a part meets and we can compare what we fond that day in our resective locations.

Alright i know thats stupid,it sucks being snow bound.

Actually Neal, I was thinking of a Pick and Pull bbq, but January would be a bad time I think. I wonder if they would be receptive, with enough advanced notice, to stocking up on old Ford Truck parts in the bone yard, and letting us do a Chapter meet/BBQ in the parking lot? We could post flyers to attract more Ford guys/gals out there who might not know about FTE. On either side of the big hill would work, depending on the time of year. Sacramento or Carson City Nv in June might be a consideration. Beer 'n burgers and lotsa hand cleaner?

JD, Whadaya think?

Yeah, it's not working out for me either. My short block comes back from the machine shop tomorrow and I'm gonna be turning a wrench this weekend putting it all back together.

Now, if you want to change the location??????? Bring a torque wrench, an air compressor, well, you get the idea.

I'd go, but I dont have anything to buy for. I sold my truck a couple months ago & drive a stupid Geo. Sounds like it would be cool just to go. Is there admission costs like everywhere else in CA?

JD, if it isn't raining, I'll try to hook up with you at Perko's on Saturday. I'm coming from Oakdale. Do you have the address of the Perko's?

I don't know the actual address but I can explain it.

If you get off on the westmain exit it is the first stop light west of the freeway. Turn south and it is just behind the Am/Pm and across from the Carls Jr.

I will hold a larger table a friend of mine should also be meeting us there.

See ya than.
