I have the 6 inch fabtech on my X. I am running a 35 on a 16 rim. It rides nice and smooth. overall its a nice setup. It all depends on what you are looking for. I personally want more hieght and function, so I am going to switch to a dana 60 front end and install a kelderman 6-10 air bag lift. Your local shop can help with the different kits out there.

ALways remember to shop around. If shop sayes a lift is bad, its probably because they are not authorized to carry it. Always ask multiple shops.

I am going to do a slight lift on my 2wd 2002 ex. I got the lift 2" lift blocks and u bolts from an F250, and I plan to machine a 1" spacer to go under the front coil springs. My truck sits level unloaded, and I would like to add a little rake to help with the trailer I pull.

Anyone out there used a spacer in the front on a 2wd? I noticed someone sells a 2" polyeurothane spacer, but that would be too tall for me.

How much lift are you going for?
Regards,
Paul Low

I have a 2001 2WD with a Fabtech 6" lift and an additional 2" helper spring in the rear to stop the sag.

Leetudor-
What wheels are those? MB? They look great. I like the extra height in back and was thinking about bags or adding a leaf.

Be careful going for the 2 inch poly spacer. We thought about the same setup since we already have air lift bags on the rear that raise up 2-3 inches. The problem is when I talked to the tire suspension shop, he said don't bother because he just had a guy with a f250 who installed them and wanted the front end aligned, and no mattter what they did, they couldn't correct his fornt end problem.

What was the problem they couldn't correct? I have that 2" spacer and I will be installing it soon. Never heard of a problem with alignment with these.

Seems I recall Daystar includes a link (or set of links) to aid the alignment with a 2" 2wd lift.

Sorry don't know any specifics the shop said that they couldn't get the camber correct.
Email me after you get it done and aligned and let me know if there was any problems.
Where did you purchased the spring spacers from?

I just lifted my 2002 2wd Excursion 1" in the front and 1 1/2" in the rear with no problems. I machined spacers for the front springs and made blocks for the rear. the alignment shop had no problems realigning it.

I know you guys are looking for more lift than that, but I just wanted to let you know.

Regards,
Paul Low

Did you replace the shocks? I think they might have enough travel with that amount of lift.

How do the front spacers fit? Did you get them right the first time? Any pics? I've been looking for a 1" lift on my front end. Can't find much.

Thanks
