Shock angle??
What angle is the most functional for the rear of a '79 f150? Is the stock placement the best I can do? I'm working on the rear suspension right now and if I have to move something, now would be the time.

It only has about 5" of lift. I'm doing a shackle flip now. I was thinking of moving the stock mounts on the axle up higher for a little more clearance and making new upper mounts. This is the reason I was asking. I'm not sure if I have enough lift for mounting the shock like you did, it would end up being a pretty short shock I would think.
