At the end of October I am swapping in a mild 460 and auto.
Two questions:
1. What type of muffler should I get installed to get that low rumbling sound like the newer rigs?
2. What size of exhaust should I go with? (3", 2.5"...?)
3. Where is the best place for the exhaust to exit? Behind the rear tire, or straight out the back on the sides of the hitch?
Also, it doesn't look like there is much room to route dual exhaust. Will the muffler shop have to route the drivers side around the passenger side of the Transfer case? It has single exhaust now, and there is plenty of room to route it on the passenger side just inside the frame rails.

my 78 supercab 4x4 has 2.5 inch duals with my 351m and yes
the ran both down the pass side but the they exit behind each rear wheel. The driverside pipe crosses over under the tranny.
