The 12 volt accessory socket on my 99 f150 went bad (cpntact fell out) and I need to replace it. How do I do it? I'm not the most mechanical guy in the world, but this doesn't look that difficult. Do I need to remove the dash or just pull out the radio to get at it? And is there a specific plug? Thanks

I can't find how to do it in the manual. The radio might be the way though. You need two u-shaped tools to get the radio out. You also need to take the vent assembly out. They say to direct the vents inward and then pull the assembly out with your fingers.
