How do you remove the wiper switch ****? 76 F-150

Wiper Switch ****

Not sure if it's the same but my 71 has a allen head set screw on the neck of the wiper ****. It's pretty small and hard to see. You might have to rotate the **** to see it. The light switch has the little botton on the switch itself you have to push in to get the stem to pull out. Hope this helps. Clint

Wiper Switch ****

Seems like there is something I have to push in on the **** to free it, but I cannot determine "what" I am pushing on. I have had this dang **** off before, and it is not secured with an allen screw, but some kind of spring steel piece that bites the shaft.

Wiper Switch ****

There is a little spring steel clip that holds it on. Make yourself a small steel hook, or maybe you can get in behind it with a small screwdriver, and pry the rounded end of the "D" shaped metal clip towards the **** while you are pulling on the ****. It will slide off easily.
