I have a 2000. I don't know how many miles you have on it, but I am getting better mpg as I put more miles on it (currently 126,000). I also installed one of those Tornado things in the intake, changed the intake and put a tuner on it. Got about 3 mpg better in the City and 4 on the hwy. Drives better too.
