To all the LLS gurus, I've got a 1998 EB with 4 wheel LLS, just put in a newly rebuilt American Eagle compressor, system works fine......except, when the key is turned off the rear leveling valve clicks several times within a minute, and every time it clicks the rear of the Expedition drops a little bit until its pretty low, not on the axles low but low. anyone have any thoughts or helpful advise?
It's my understanding that the suspension lowers when the ignition is shut off. On my 2000 NAV--when I get out to add gas, I have the nozzle in the filler and often am holding the nozzle and all of a sudden the truck starts lowering. It's designed to do that.
So I'm not sure if what you are experiencing is a problem---unless the front stays up---I think it's supposed to lower evenly front and rear.
I guess it's desiged to do this so that it's easier to get in and out! In my opinion it just puts more wear on the compressor!
