Turbo Timer

Had an alarm system installed on my F250 PSD and was wandering how many
minutes to set the turbo timer. What would be a good time 3 or 5 minutes?

depends if ur just drivin around town a lot i would set it for maybe a min or so...on long road trips or towing then ya 3-5

I have a "turbo timer" in my truck and I have a choice - set it by time or EGT's. I have mine set to EGT's - the truck shuts off at 400 degrees EGT. It is always under 2 minutes whether or not I am running down the interstate with a trailer.

Based on my personal experience - 2 minutes is more than enough for all conditions...

Just remember that when you operated the vehicle with the turbo timer it will throw 3 to 4 trouble codes. i.e. - low voltage, lost communication with cluster and two others that I can't remember right now. That is normal and not to worry.
