That is a good price for install. You have also selected the very best 5th wheel hitch available. No worries for you. Any chance your install is taking place in Wildwood?

Nice concept, but what I don't like is having to be within 16 degrees truck to trailer to hook/unhook. The beauty of a fifth wheel is the ability to hook/unhook at practically any angle up to 90 degrees, but you can not do it with this hitch, the only drawback, otherwise a good concept.

Thumbs up Pullrite Super Glide 5th wheel Hitch

Well it's been a year since I have posted and I now have used this hitch a number of times and can't say anything negative about it . I never have been in a place where the 16 degree limitation has been a problem.With my short bed it has saved me damaging the cab a number of times. Hayman4353

pullrite

I recently puchased a 16k superglide with super rail kit on ebay for 415.00.
And installed it myself in about 4 hrs with no special tools. I have been looking for one for over a year and was always out bid. Now I can start looking for a 5er
to go with it.

I believe Tom has done a great job of an explanation of the Pullrite hitch. IMHO it is the only way ro with the 6'bed . They expensive but whats the cost of a repair to your cab. Hayman4353

Wow... I'll stick to the gooseneck, lol. $400 installed, and I can hitch at ANY angle. Usually I do it at a 90 degree angle so I can get in and out of the bed easier. Too bad you can't use goose hitches on travel trailers... :P

Hello all;

Yes, actually you can use a goose neck hitch on a travel trailer. There are several ways to do this. Some are better than others.

...most 5th wheel manufacturers will not warranty the hitch (on the trailer) if something does go wrong using a goose adapter.

Goose hitch puts too much stress on the welding of most fifth wheel trailers. They aren't designed for that type of hitch. Yes, you can do it, but most trailer dealers will turn their backs on you for warentee work

There is a second auto sliding hitch, the Hijacker Autoslide. I use it in my 06 short bed. The main difference between this hitch and the Pullrite is that there is no kingpin adapter needed. There are two steel angles that mount on the hitch plate and ride against the side of the king pin box to make the kingpin box and hitch to turn together.

Hijacker Auto-Slide 5th Wheel Hitch

Hi Paul100, or anyone else that has the Hijacker auto-sliding hitch... How do you like the product? Still working for you properly after a few years now? My new 5th is on order at the factory and I need to pick it up at the CAD/US border... have been concerned about attempting to install pinbox cover for the Pull-Rite on the side of the highway.... noticed that the HiJacker doesn't need one...

What kinda price is the Hijacker auto-slide going for? Is it the same operationally as the Pull-Rite?
