On the steering box is a screw with a locknut. Loosen the locknut, tighten the screw, retighten the locknut.
As you are tightening the screw, roll the rag joint back and forth to allow the gears to adjust. (Check the rag joint while you are there.)
Don't overtighten the screw. When you feel it is good, back it off about 1/4 turn.
On my steering box there is a vent screw which you can remove and make sure the box has 90 weight gear oil. It might have grease, as this is what some people did to keep the box lubed, but the spec is 90W.
Check the seal at the bottom of the box from underneath the truck. If it doesn't hold the oil, you'll have to replace the seal.
There are a lot of posts about this if you do a search on 'steering' but i noticed that all types of searches were only returning messages from the past week, and the archived messages aren't available...(webmaster or BBB - is there an explanation?)
