Fozzy, think you are responding to vanaddict, but would appreciate any help you can give me. I do have a door and emissions control tag. The emissions tag does not have a vacuum/emissions diagram on it. I will try to send attachments of both to you which I updated to my configuration from generic tags.

I have a 351M/400 EGR, 400 CID engine NON-CATALYST with a 2150 carb with electric choke. My VIN F25SN080591. The emission control tag is D7TE-9C485BRB 7-181.

Local dealer/parts/service have been no help. Tried Ford Customer Service and local libraries to no avail.

I too am having an emissions problem. I am in California and it's tuff. I have a 1979 f-250 super cab camper special with a 460, dual exhaust with a charcoal canister, has passed smog numerous times but this year the guy says it needs a catylitic converter etc., but of course the tag is missing. How do I figure it out for myself, don't trust the guy now.

 

I live in CA too. I know I have a different engine (300-6), but I do need to have my cat convereter in order to pass. There's a note on the VECI label on my valve cover. I bought a replacement not that long ago when I rebuilt my exhaust system. Not to expensive for those old trucks.

 

 

I finally got my EGR problem solved. Contacted Ford in Canada.They sent me a drawing of Engine Installation Specifications. It is a xerox of a blue print and almost unreadable and am unable to scan for further transmittal. However, from the xerox, I was able to make a vac distribution diagram for my truck.

I've got a 77 F250 400 EGR engine with 2150 carb. It is non catalyst, no air pump, no pvs or like temp sensors.

My diagram is rough, but if you contact me, I'll be happy to forward same.

I need a smog diagram for a 1977 Ford F-150 351 M / 400...

It should have been in the Vacuum section of the handbook... but for some reason... we can't find it... and they don't print it anymore!

We didn't have one on it when we got the truck but Cali is trying to keep them off the road! Please help us save our truck!
