vin # and the unknown

It just occured to me the other day when I looked at my vin # that the first 5 digits of my vin number are 1FTEF. Is this just coincidence or am I one of tons of people with this combo? I had no clue this website existed when I got this truck. It just made me stop and think about this for a while.

the first 4-5 characters of a manufacterers vin code is always the same. that is, all escorts start out the same, ford trucks are the same first 4 or 5 characters. all automakers vin numbers are like that.
