I'm sure it's possible, you'll need the module too. Sounds like it's time to hit the junkyard.

I'm assuming your talking about interval wipers. The stock system has a module under the dash near the RABS module. If I'm talking about the wrong thing nevermind.

The module should be under the dash, drivers side, right above the gas pedal, to the left of the radio. If all the wiring is there thats all thats in the circuit except fuse 21, 30A.

Hi TR and Ken,
This is my first post here but I just spent the last three days troubleshooting the entire winshield wiper system on my '86 BII.I only had high speed on my wipers so first I replaced the column wiper/intermittent/washer switch...same thing...only high speed. Then I replaced the wiper motor...same thing....only high speed. Then after researching the problem on the internet, I found out that there is a module for the intermittent wipers (Ford actually calls it an intermittent wiper governor) on the left side of the vehicle right up above the parking brake. It's a little black plastic box about 2"x3" and a real bear to get at.After I finally located it I could see why my intermittent and low settings were not working. It seems that by placing the module in such close proximity to the parking brake all the vibration from releasing the brake over twenty years took it's toll.On one side of the module the plastic mounting tab had broken off and it was still hanging there by a screw. The other tab was not screwed in to the side panel at all so the module was just hanging there. After pulling the module out and down around the instrument panel wires I noticed a ground terminal on the tab that was still intact on the module.I used a piece of wire to ground it to the side panel, turned the wipers on and like magic all the settings worked again.I have since re-mounted the module to a safe place just under the dash and ran a ground wire to the brace on top of the transmission hump by the bottom of the heater box and it works great.I hope this helps.

Chuck
