Pitman seal

Remove the pitman arm. Then up inside where the seal is there is a snap ring.Remove the snap ring and then fill power steering resavoir full of fluid. Place adrain pan under the steering box.Start the truck and turn the wheels hard one way . This will build up pressure in the steering box and blow out the seal.clean up the shaft with fine emery cloth and install the seal. Remember tthe lip goes to the oil side.Reinstall the snap ringand pitman arm and that is it. Refill power steering.
