4EOD Reverse shift problem
Hi Guys, new to the forum, WOW, never seen so much info and expertise !! Searched the forum but couldnt find any possible cures. Here's what I got; 95 Bronco, 184'000 mi, no towing, 4EOD. TC/trans. fluid and filter changed every 36,000 since new, only about 1/2 teaspoon of metalic dust on the magnet since new. Pan was clean on last change (182,000). Right before the last change I started getting a little clunk when going from Park to Rev. with a 1 sec delay. Now, it is really bad, checked the codes-none, shifts and locks up fine in all foward gears just like it has done since new. Its now clunking so hard I am afraid to use Rev. Could any of the solenoids cause this in Rev. and have no effect on the Foward gears. Also if the MLPS is outputing the wrong ohms in the Rev. position could it cause this problem. Sorry for being long winded.
