Question

Overdrive lockout inop

Have an auto transmission E40D that when vehicle is in motion, I am unable to switch the overdrive ON or OFF using the lockout button. When the vehicle is stopped and in either Neutral or Park the switch operates the lamp normally. This has been going on for over a year. Under normal driving the overdrive works properly, just can't use the button. Any suggestions???

Have you had the vehicle checked for codes at Autozone............

Have not had codes checked, but will try to get them tommorrow. Can't e-mail since I have not been on the board long enough.
