05 chrome bumper rust

05 chrome bumper rust
2000 miles on new 05 f-150 supercrew and the bumper is starting to have rust spots. I contacted the dealer today and they said to come on by. I didnt get a warm fuzzy feeling that they were all that receptive to replacing.

I'll be interested to hear how it goes; noticed a couple of spots on my '04 along with bubbling clearcoat on the painted bumper piece above the chrome bumper but that's a different story altogether and not really a Ford issue (had to get it refinished after an accident at the dealership while there for a service).

All you really need to do most times is clean it off with fine steel wool and wax the bumper. I wonder how many people really know they need to wax chrome to keep it from rusting? The inside is irrelevant by the way.
