When my truck idols it is at about 800 rpm's. when i go to back up on a slight hill, i press the gas and when i let off the gas the rpm's will go down to about 500 and it will eaither stall or sounds like it will and will slowley go back up to 800. Whenever it goes below 500 it stalls. i have a 93 bronco 5.0L 302. This has happened to me twice in the past week. This has never happened to me before and i have had the truck for a little over a year. what could the problem be ??
Could be many problems.
1. don't start guessing and spending alot of money
2. pull the codes
3. if you get no codes, then pull your Throttle body and clean it.
4. post back any codes you get.
If you don't know how to pull the codes, do a search on this web sit and read up on it. Or take it to Autozone and they will pull the codes for you. Free
I agree with poffutt, judging by your last post it sounds like you need to get your self a repair manual and start reading, my truck was doing the same thing one time and a good TB cleaning fixed her right up, take the IAC off the TB and clean in there real good, use throttle body cleaner not carb cleaner, also if you move or take off the TPS make sure you set it back to the correct voltage. g'luck
