engine swap question

i have a 78 f-100 with a 300 in-line 6 and thinking of changing to a 73 351 clev. need to know if it will still pass emissions testing in nc

Steve where are you located, do they sniff the tailpipe or is it visual? If you are in a sniffing area I don't think it will work, because of the computer entering of information back to the state.
