backspace/offset needed?35in 05 xscrew4x4
ok I ran into a guy the other day that put 325/50/22 on a stock height 4x4. thats 35 in tires and around 13in wide.. LOOKED GREAT.. but he did have some minor plastic trimming to do.. Mine is leveled with ezlift and he said I should have even more clearance and possibly not rub at all (back of fender only).
My question is, as he got his from a friend and didn't know, what back spacing and offset do I need. I believe stock 05's have 5.5in back spacing... so what does that equate to plus sizing.. Keep in mind I have about .5in clearance now with the stock tire against the upper control arm so wider tires may run on that if used the same backspacing as stock...
fyi.. looking at 20x8.5 in tires with 35x12.5/20 nitto grapplers....
any ideas on any of the above mentioned???

I've got an '05 LAriat 4X4 with front 2" lift and 33" Terra Grapplers. It definitely looks like the extra 1" would clear, but everything I have read from the real experts here says no way to 35's without a more aggressive lift.
