rough ride f250

this seems to be the forum for me. i have a 1984 f250 4x4. just put 35 inch bfg mud terrains on it with stone crusher rims. it rides like a buck board wagon. how can i smooth my ride out some. i like to wheel but the ride makes it not as much fun

Air down to 25psi, sse if that helps, but these truck ride like a brick anyway, by prodct of leaf springs on a ttb.

lol yea notice your front leaf packs.... there is only 2 and they are super thick! try getting a set of F350 front leafs, they are a lil thinner and offer a hair smoother ride. also look into doing a shackle reversal, that helps quite a bit too!

is the suspension stock??? if so..it may have had a dealer installed add a leaf at some point in time to correct the sagging problems associated with leaf sprung ttb's, which makes the front ride even stiffer than stock...i would suggest saving up for a 60 front, and do a shackle reversal with 99-2004 superduty stock front springs..this will give you a great ride and 2-3 inches of lift...depending on the hangers/shackle
