7.3L diesel
I am considering purchasing a 1988 Ford F250 with a 7.3L diesel. Can some one tell me what the stock hp is and how many miles these engines are good for? The one i'm looking at has 170000 miles on it

Got a 1989 7.3 with 270K on it. Other than a few minor leaks it should be good for 400-500K with good maintance. Only thing is that the engine noise in the cab is LOUD !!!!! espically with the ZF trans. This is compared to a 1990 gas F250

in 89 i paid $1800 for my banks unit, took 2 days to put on. adds anywhere from 50-120 hp, depending on the way it is setup, the amount the pump is juiced, and the type exhaust you use.
