Question CPS going bad

02 F-250 4X4 PSD with the Edge Juice and Attitude setup. My question is would a CPS going bad cause my Attitude RPM indication to be VERY erratic. At a constant speed my vehicle tach reads steady (ex.1800 rpm) and my attitude will read anywhere from 1800 to 2100 rpm and never stays consistant at all. Maybe it's just how the Attitude reads but I thought it would be a little more accurate than this. Any info would be great, Thanks

CPS will not cause anything erratic, it will either work or not. Not sure about the Attitude never used one but I'm sure someone will chime in.

If the CPS was going bad the engine would stall/intermittent Tach readings and stalling problems...etc.

Is there any other symptoms? Did you just notice this since you added your programmer? Or has your edge been installed for a while and this just started occurring?

No it has always been doing this. Everything else works fine the truck OEM tach works and is steady. I was just wondering if its the EDGE module is screwed up or the engine rpm really fluctuates this much. There might be something wired into the factory tach to keep it steady i dunno......

my attitude does the same thing. Ive talked to someone that had the attitude and his does the same. The rpm function on the attitude is junk imho. Your ears tell you if your rpms are jumping around. My attiude says anything from 650 to 900 while idleing.

Did you talk to the supplier? Maybe they will give you a new one?
