Transfer Case ID

Quick question for anyone smarter than me -

The transfer case on my truck blew up and I'm looking for a used unit. My truck is a '88 F250 diesel with a 5 speed. All I know for sure above that is it is a slip yoke style out put.

Is my broken case a Borg Warner 1356?

Both the 1345 and 1356 will fit.

Thanks, its also a manual shift transfer case, but it sounds like I already gave all the info I needed.

The unit you have should be a 1356 behind the 5 speed.

Its a 1356, depending on what broke in it, u can rebulid it for under 200. i would try to stay away from a salvage yard unit since the 1356 a few bad flaws with the oil pump reatiner likes to break the ribs in the housing and break free. and the shift fork in the range hub like to wear through
