Broken alternator wire connector?
A friend of mine has a 2000 Ranger 2.3 2wd. It has a stiff heavy copper cable connected to the alternator with a cheap aluminum connector. The cable is tied to the frame and is short and very tight to the alternator. Just the engine moving in the motor mounts causes it to break the connector. Was this a common problem on the vehicles? Thanks

Sounds to be just a ground strap. He should be able to make another longer one if the OEM version is too short.
