TBC Fault....On going problem
TBC...Trailer Brake Controller Fault. 2005 F250 CC, V8 gas, Starting in Nov when using the brakes (not towing) a cab tone can be heard, not consistant either although generally in colder conditions. Eventually i was able to catch to message on the dash "TBC Fault" most of the time it flashes so fast one cannot read it. Dealer figured it was the trailer brake controller and has replaced. Still on less occasssion i get the same tone and cannot read the dash error. Dealer says they can't figure it out and to come back when the error stays and is readable. Anyone else experience this type of condition or problem?

Well finally, problem was the master cyclinder was bad AND inside the cyc is a switch that needed to be switched on. Never got clarification is the switch turned off because the master cyc went bad or perhaps when the TBC was replaced but all is well now. Even the Ford help desk ( or whatever its called) did realize there was a switch in the master cyc. so its another place to look.
