Removing key cyl without the key
I think pulling the cyl requires the correct key, am I correct? How would you remove the cyl if you don't have the key?
The short answer: yes you need a key to rremove the lock cylinder. The way around that? Drilling carefully so as to get the tumblers to fall out into the hole you are drilling. Slow and steady with a carbide bit. Start small and work up gradually in size. You could probably still save some dough by having a machine shop drill the lock mechanism. Keep us fully apprised as to the relative success, or lack thereof, in your endeavors.
