gm rolls out 2007 model

there have been a ton of ads on tv here promoting the new 2007 chevy tahoe. is this even at dealers lots yet? is this going to be one of those years where the current model year is short lived and the next model year is brought out early? there is also adds in the local papers.

One thing I hope for is that GM did a little bit more development on the new Tahoe. It seems to me that in years of late, EVERY manufacturer has been guilty of using the consumer as the R&D (research and development) team and just extended the warranties for a few more thousand miles. It irks me because not only has quality taken a huge dump, but the people who have to work on these things take it in the shorts when it comes paycheck time.

I agree with you on the "tons of ads on tv" bit. I hate commercials as is, but it's taking it to extremes when you've got a commercial that bashes a minivan (not enough room for the kids) and says to get an UGLY Tahoe that has rear seats that fold by themselves and a liftgate that opens electrically. I can't see myself fixing those manufacturing screwups (insert sarcastic smilie). There will be a recall out in 2 weeks for the seats folding by themselves when an infant is placed on the seat. Customers will complain that their new Tahoe ate their kid and such. Thanks GM.

What the hell is wrong with people? "I can't manually fold my rear seats forward even though they're really easy to operate with this handle that shows me the steps...." DUH!!!

GM is just trying to keep up with ford on the rear electric folding seats. the new tahoe has a backup camera when you order the navagation system so i was told by my uncle..... a gm car salesman.

On the new Tahoe only the second row folds, not the third.

Did I read somethig incorrectly or misunderstand? I read (or thought I did) that the second tow seats fold electrically but have to be manually unfolded. It also seems odd that the second row of seats fold but the third row must be manually removed.

That's the way I recall it. car & Driver magazine has a review in their February 2006 issue. Their 2007 Tahoe LTZ got 12 mile per gallon while they were testing it.
