In this month`s issue is a 67 Mustang Fastback for $69,500!!!!!!!!!! Kinda wild for a 302, not the correct engine and a small block. Must have Barrett Jackson fever. A little better is a 72 F100- 59,000 orginal miles, 302 4 speed for $6,000 in Edmonton.

Makes me smile alot thinking of my 67 big block F/B, but I won`t get carried away. Laynrubber should be happy once he gets his 67 F/B finished. We won`t see this kind of coin BUT it is a good sign. It`s been crazy the last 5/6 years, it took off just after I sold my 67 F/B and it COST $$$ to get it back. Now it is staying here!

There's alot to be said for the publicity that shows like Barrett-Jackson bring to the table. It's kind of like the antique roadshow. Folks see stuff on there going for big bucks and figure their garage sale junk is worth thousands. Now I haven't seen this particular Mustang but for 70G's ??? Ya the market has been hot but come on, without the original motor. I believe its safe to say that one is a farce. Our buddy has the Barrett Jackson fever real bad...... (I believe tha Arizona show is on in 2 weeks btw)

My brother sold his 67 mustang coupe this spring locally. His car wasn't original, but had been restored. New metal, new interior, new engine and tranny, but the engine was a 302 with headers and 4bbl, and had aftermarket rims and tires as well. He sold it for around $12,000 I believe, and was very happy with this price. This wasn't his dream car, so no loss felt yet. He's actually looking for a restored Mustang fastback 2+2 from 65 to 69, but they are worth $$$ in premo condition!

12K for a solid mustang sounds alot more reasonable indeed. If I ever get 70K ahead of me there are alot of goodies that come to mind before a Mustang. I don't think I would have it in me to drop it all on one car. I would likely bring home a 15K Mustang as well a nicely optioned Lightning etc etc....

Just saw on ebay a guy in wisconsin selling his collection of 17 Fairlane and rancheros. Starting bids at $50000. The one is a restored 67 fairlane with a 429 side oiler engine. There is a wgn and several convertibles and lots of spare parts and one car is on a rotisery and the rotisiery is included.
A person could get this colection and resell the other cars they don't want seperately and pay off the $50,000.
Some really nice looking cars.
At least you get more for your buck than the $70,000 for one mustang.
