I'm sure it can be done, it just depends on how much time, skill, and $$ you have. Any '87-91 dash should be a 'bolt in' for your truck...IIRC, 92-96's have different steering columns (more like the Fox body mustangs, I think), so that's an obstacle. When swapping the dash, you'd also have to swap out door panels to match the profile of the dash, and if you swap out the door panels, you'll have to put in the stubby vent windows the 92-96's have. You'll also need the kick panels, and have to do a good amount of rewiring.
I've looked into doing the swap myself, and found that it would probably be eaiser/cheaper to find a nice '92-'96 cab and just swap the entire cab out...
For now, I'm content with having the later model vent windows & supercab 1pc. 1/4 windows.
Good luck with the swap...let us know how it turns out.
Gary

Also keep in mind the instrument cluster wiring if you're planning on swapping that. I think the 87-91 use a mechanical speedometer cable whereas the 1992+ use an electronic signal from the VSS.
