I need a replacement for my 1993 F150 and was wondering if anyone knows how far back I can go and have it still fit? Reason I ask is my local junkyard has alot of them in great shape, but won't let me try them out. Thanks alot guys.
I would think you could go as far back as 1980. I think 80-96 is the same. If anyone knows better correct this statement. I would look for a newer one though. Age can have adverse effects on things.
Thanks, I got a couple good ones in the cab on my old trucks, but I couldn't get even one out in one chunk so I guess to the junkyard I got, thanks again.
wondering if anyone has any instructions on how to remove a windshield for reuse?...Ive had several junk cabs over the years and tried the piano wire/guitar string method...with NO LUCK....the '89 i use for plowing now could use a new windshield and I have a donor...but need a tried and true method to remove...thanks in advance
I think the difference between 1980-1986 and1987-1996 is the black band on the bottom of the glass because the vin numbers on these years are not in the same place I think they are off by a couple of inches other than that it is the same size . hope this helps
