'02 cd player problems
Hello all, just a newbie here and have a small problem to report. Does any one know about a problem with the cd players in the '02 supercrew that causes it to work intertmittently? It spits the cd out with a "bad cd" message. It seems to make a "click" sound when it decides not to work. When it works, no sound. I was thinking of pulling it out and trying to see inside it, perhaps it needs cleaning or has problem with the loading tray? Any one else ever have this problem? If so how did you fix it? My thanks for any and all replies.

About the only thing you can do is clean it with a cleaning disk. If that dosen't work, I'd say tear into it, you can't make it any worse. You can probaly find a stock replacement on ebay or better yet an aftermarket one with lots of preaty lights n such. Maybe even one with a pop out video screen so you can watch spiderman 2 while you plow into a tree.
